The gangs all here

With many families spread all over the county, the Pacific Northwest, the country or even the world, when you're finally able to make it all together that's the time to get those family photos updated. Thanks to the Kipfer family for doing just that! If you have family coming together this summer and would love some new photos, contact me today!

Thanks for the great comments you've already left regarding the studio I'm putting together. I'll leave the comments open a couple more days. I'll be picking a winner (who will receive $20 off their next sitting fee) on Friday!

Friends and Neighbors

These were were a couple of the last family shoots I did before Christmas. The first one I had to travel all the way across the street to shoot. We love our neighbors!!

This one we had to travel just a little further down the road for but my lovely assistants (aka: my girls) always love to come and try to make their friends laugh.

Crazy, colorful FUN!

Those are just 3 of the words I could use to describe this great family!

(I just can't seem to get caught up but yet don't want to skip these fun shoots that happened oh, so long ago, too! So bare with me as we re-visit a beautiful December day and my afternoon with the Likkel Family.)

We started off with some casual shots in the house. Love this one of Traci and her boys (well, all but one)

I'm really not a cat lover but when he hopped in front of my camera and posed so nicely, really, how could I resist?

Then we headed outside.  It was sunny but really cold and really windy!

Putting their heads together, deciding what to try next.

Ah, a pyramid....perfect!  Started out strong, but you can already see Sam making his move, Jack's ready to go on the defensive and the 3 on the bottom are completely oblivious to what's coming their way.

Love it!  Hanging with these guys is always a great way to spend the afternoon!

The winter that wasn't

For those of us in the Pacific Northwest the day back in December when this photo was taken was about the only snow we had all year and today the sun is popping out and the temps are threatening to warm up again.

But there's a couple fun things about this picture that I want to share with you because it proves that family pictures do not have to be a hard, painful, experience.  :)

1.) Impulsive, quick shoots are good! Gary, Michelle and Marissa had literally arrived home from the airport less than a half an hour before we took this picture.
2.) A shoot doesn't have to last a long time! We were done in less than 10 minutes and got a fun family picture.  Plus, the snow was starting to turn slushy and our window of opportunity was quickly escaping.
3.) Tell the photographer what YOU want!  Michelle has been saving this red chair for THIS day, a day with snow on the ground and in the trees, so we could throw it outside and do a fun family shoot on it.
4.) Call today to schedule your shoot! Whether it's for your kids or your whole family, I'm scheduling for spring and summer and would love to hear from you! (simplyenjoyphotography@gmail.com)

Family Photos

Around the holidays families usually come together, whether it's from across town or across the country. It's also the perfect time to get family photos done!   That's exactly what this great family did over Thanksgiving!

Teachers Pet

Before Christmas, Mia and I met her teacher and family at the park for some family pictures.

Can you tell who's calling the plays? :)

Thanks, you guys, for dodging rain drops with us.  It was fun!

Another great fall shoot

This shoot was part of my "Holiday Mini Sessions: that I offered. It was quick (30-45 minutes) and we got the shots that we wanted for their Christmas card. I even think Rolf would agree that it was pretty painless!
