January Project

Does anyone need a project this January? Need something new for your walls? Here's an easy one. You will need
-12x12 canvas (or any size that you want for that matter)
-black and white photo (I cropped mine in Photoshop to a 12x12 and uploaded the image to Costco. You can choose the square photo option, they have 8x8 and 12x12)
-black paint
-Mod Podge (or any other heavy glue stick or adhesive)
Paint the edges of your canvas black, apply a good layer of adhesive and then apply the photo. I cropped a little off my photo so a tiny edge of black shows on the edge of the photos.

Fun Stuff!

I have been playing Bunko for almost 10 years, I think. It's been mostly the same girls (some have move, like Angela) and we always have a good time. But when it your turn to host it you can tend to run out of fun ideas for prizes. Until I found Karlees Kreations, thanks to Becky Higgins blog. She had awesome stuff, adorable fabric and amazing prices. I contacted her about creating 12 items for Bunko prizes and they came last week and are great. She is super easy to work with. There is a link on the side bar of my blog to her web site. She has some things there but more in her Etsy shop (she has a link on her site) Thanks, Karlee, for making my turn this year with Bunko a breeze! (the little things in the front are coin purses and they are awesome...I think that is one of my favorite things, and the long skinny things on the far left are headbands)

Still rollin' on my layouts

Here's a few more!Going digital has meant a lot less "material" and just using Photoshop and the elements within the program. There are a lot of scrapbook paper and embellishments available to download but simple and clean are good right now.

Resolutions!

I'm not big on New Years resolutions but here's one I'm going to try to do. Now that my Christmas projects are finished I'm going to try to get some scrapbooking done. I'm going to try to do 31 scrapbook layouts this month (hopefully 1 a day) and the motivation is coming from Big Picture Scrapbooking. We'll see how I do. I did get two done today!

Luggage Tags

Eric's whole family is going on vacation together next year so we decided to buy our Christmas gifts with that theme in mind. Mia, Holly and I made these fun luggage tags for everyone. The luggage tags are from C-Line. They are great because they are self laminating. We decorated them with all the odds and ends of our scrapbooking stuff. Everyones first initial ison the front and each family has coordinating paper. On the back I printed out everyone address. Should be fun now to look for our luggage on the carousel at the airport! :) And Michelle or Mandy, should you check here in the next 3 days...act surprised on Christmas, okay!

Our Christmas Card

I thought I'd post a copy of our Christmas card for anyone interested. It was a lot of fun to make and I loved being able to use lots of photos. This idea was another one I found thanks to Becky Higgins/Creating Keepsakes. One thing I really liked was uploading my image to Shutterfly and having it printed as a 4x8 card. They printed them (FAST...3 days total) and I even got the envelopes, too! I just hole punched the top of the cards and used a brad to attach them.

Christmas Card

This is one of the Christmas cards I did this year. I think I can safely post this now, right, Amy! :) Mine came in the mail a few days ago so by now most of them should have reached their destinations.
